    What to expect when you get in touch

    Reaching out to a lawyer for the first time can feel like a big step. Here is what happens after you send that first message, so there are no surprises.

    1. You send us the details

    Use the contact form, email, phone, or WhatsApp, whichever is easiest for you. A short, plain description of your situation is enough to get started.

    2. Nasibeh reviews your message and responds within one business day

    She reads every message personally. You will hear back directly from her, not from a call centre or an assistant screening your file.

    3. We hold an initial consultation

    This is a conversation to understand your matter in full, talk through the options available to you, and give you a realistic sense of likely cost and timeline before you commit to anything.

    4. If you decide to proceed, we put it in writing

    You will receive a written retainer agreement that sets out the scope of work and the fee arrangement, so you know exactly what you are agreeing to before any work begins.

    What to include in your message

    The more useful detail you can share up front, the more useful our first response can be. When you write to us, it helps to include:

    • A plain summary of your situation, in your own words. You do not need legal terms.
    • Any deadlines, court dates, or tribunal dates that are already scheduled.
    • The names of any other parties involved, so we can check for conflicts of interest before we discuss your matter further.
    • Any documents you have already received, such as notices, charges, or correspondence from another party.
    • Your preferred language, whether that is English, Farsi, Russian, or Serbian.
    • The best way and time of day to reach you.

    Please do not send sensitive or confidential documents until a retainer is in place. Your initial message is still protected by lawyer-client privilege, but full document exchange is best handled once we have formally agreed to act for you.

    Getting to the office

    Our office is located at 4789 Yonge Street, Suite 402, in the Yonge and Sheppard area of North York. The building sits along the Yonge subway line and is within reach of Highway 401 for clients driving in from elsewhere in the GTA.

    Meetings at the office are by appointment only, so please arrange a time with us in advance rather than dropping in. If coming to North York is not practical, we also offer consultations by phone, video, and WhatsApp for clients located anywhere in the Toronto area and across the GTA.
