Meet the people behind Civitas Law.

Nasibeh Mehrpouyan was called to the bar in Ontario and is a member in good standing of the Law Society of Ontario. She founded Civitas Law to offer Toronto individuals, families, and small business owners the kind of legal help she believes people actually need: direct access to their lawyer, straightforward explanations of their options, and honest advice about what a matter will likely cost and how long it may take. Nasibeh speaks English, Farsi (Persian), Russian and French, and is glad to serve Toronto's Persian-speaking community in their own language, as well as the wider GTA community in English. Clients who prefer Serbian are served by another member of the Civitas Law team.

Her approach is grounded in the idea that legal problems are also personal ones. Whether a client is dealing with a criminal charge, a separation, an immigration application, or a commercial dispute, Nasibeh starts by listening carefully to understand the full picture before recommending a path forward. Shola leads legal operations at Civitas Law, keeping matters moving smoothly from first contact through resolution. She oversees intake, file management, and client communications, the day-to-day systems that let the firm deliver a boutique, high-touch experience without missing a beat.

Her focus is on making the client experience feel effortless: prompt responses, organized files, and clear communication at every stage. It's the operational backbone that allows Civitas Law to stay small, personal, and responsive while handling matters across eleven practice areas.
